Culture Counts advocates for the cultural sector in Scottish policy making. In 2018 they worked with a team of researchers to understand the findings of hundreds of academic studies into the societal impact of a range of cultural activities and investments.

Part of that research involved the extraction of concrete statements and facts that could speak to the benefits of a particular program, grant, festival, industry, or institution.

These facts were compiled in spreadsheet, grouped by research paper, and tagged according to sector and topic. The website allows visitors to browse, search, and filter, and find information about the benefits of investment in their area of interest.
