In November 2019, security forces in Iran killed at least 304 men, women and children during five days of protests which swept across the country. As the protests intensified the Iranian authorities ordered internet service providers to shut down the internet. Most of the killings took place on 16 November, the day the internet was shut down.
For Amnesty’s report on the anniversary of the shutdown, we developed a series of visualisations in English and Farsi.
